Artist's Description
I was driving around our rural property in mid-Missouri one summer evening with my camera, hoping to get some photos of wildlife or birds when I spotted this Barred Owl in a tree. All of a sudden, a pair of King Birds swooped in and began harassing it. He/she tried to defend itself by jumping and flapping its' wings as the birds repeatedly dive-bombed. The poor owl even flew to several different branches to try and escape the relentless attack, but to no avail. After about 15 minutes of this torment, the owl finally gave up and flew away to find more peaceful hunting grounds.
